Concert collection Ziricote wood guzheng 100% handmade by well-respected Taiwanese maker Cai Yuanhong!  

This is a 26-string guzheng that has one two extra high notes and three extra low notes than the 21-string guzheng.  Two models are available.  The standard one covers 5 octaves from 1F# to 6F#.  It has one more octave range than the 21-string.  
A diatonic model is also available.  The diatonic model covers 4 octaves just like the 21-string.  However, it is in the diatonic scale instead of the pentatonic scale.  The scale is in do, re, mi, fa, so, la, si like the white keys of the piano.  

Songbo guzheng made by Master Cai Yuanhong has always been one of the biggest spot lights of the guzheng industry in the Shanghai Music Show!

Master Cai's guzheng has brilliant and sweet high notes, clean passing middle range and a full deep bass.  The range is even and balanced.  The string rings long, and most of the all, none of the string sounds too hallow or too solid.  It's like a dream voice for us guzheng players.         


This instrument is made with single-piece paulownia soundboard and backboard.  The frame is made by Ziricote wood.  It gives a mellow-sweet tone, yet it has an extremely high velocity of sound with strongly pronounced bass notes.  It's the dream wood for most instruments.  

Master Cai Yuanhong has been making guzheng for 40 years.  Unlike other makers that are mostly wood makers, Master Cai is a professional guzheng player.  He knows exactly the ideal tone a guzheng player is looking for.  He built in several tone bars underneath the soundboard.  Each tone bar is carefully carved out to perfect the sound of the guzheng.       

This instrument is definitely one of a kind and stands in a class of its own.  
This model has 1 year warranty from the manufacturer.  It comes with  finger picks, soft case, guzheng chromatic tuner, and 1-7 spare strings.

This model is hand selected by our professional Yukina at the factory.  All the bridges and strings are fine-tuned and adjusted to ensure the best sound quality.
